Yesterday, in third period science class we were completing the labs we created the previous day. We had various materials available including hot plates, hot mitts, beakers, and vinegar. All went well the first half hour of class. My partner and I had finished our lab and began cleaning up. I picked up a beaker, headed over five steps toward the material counter, and froze. With my own two eyes I saw the guy next to us blowing on a smouldering hot mitt. Later, I assumed the hot mitt had started burning when the guy set it down on a hot plate that was on. As he continued blowing, the smouldering hot mitt began to flame up. Suddenly, I kicked into action and shrieked, "Put some water on it! Put some water on it!" After a few more blows, the guy finally walked over to the sink, turned on the fossit, and doused the flames. Lucky for him, the teacher didn't see his dangerous actions. He could have caused a fire! Lesson Learned? Don't play with fire. Use common sense!

oh my goodness!! wow... in sixth period science, we just have a guy who brings his pet reptiles. one new one every week... really big snakes... it's weird..., but we haven't used hot plates since like sixth grade..... but if that happened at our school, and you didn't tell the teacher you could get suspended, or sent to DAEP, which is seperate school from ours to correct student behavior... you'd probably get 30 days of it... and you wouldn't be like the rest of the kids there. cause most of them get sent for fighting or dealing drugs and stuff.....
