Well, this past week I've been having some cramps in my lower stomach and some near my "feminine area." For those who have their period and have cramps, is there a way to tell whether or not cramps are PMS cramps? I haven't started my period yet, but so far everyone that has predicted me says it's coming soon, and now I have cramps. My mom has already gotten me a box of Midol Teen in case it is. Please reply! Thx! PS: What is bloating, exactly? Where does it occur and what does it feel like? Does your stomach just fill with gas or something? That's how I've always pictured it...

If your cramps are in your lower stomach area and near your feminine area, then it's probably PMS cramps. and bloating is when your stomach area retaines water. you can either not feel anything at all, or you can feel kind of heavy or bloated. Hope this helps!

I don't have my period yet, but I've read that PMS cramps go away if you take a hot bath or place a hot water bottle on your "feminine area". However also, my sister has had hers, and she said heat doesn't work...but if you try and it does, they probably are PMS cramps.

Ya, if you place a heating pad on your lower abdomen, then that can help, but also Midol is great! It's a pain pill that is made especially for periods.
