Okay, I haven't actually started yet, but whenever I'm dreading starting my period, I check these out to put a lighter, funnier mood on the situation.
--Go to YouTube and search "Menstrual Cycle Animation." Click the first one. It's a funny (maybe a bit disturbing LOL) video showing what happens in the cycle. EHHHHHHGGGG!
--"My Little Red Book" by Rachel Kauder Nalebuff is a collection of weird and embarrassing first period stories. It comforts me to know that my first period probably won't be as big a disaster as these stories LOL
--There is a YouTube user named AllAboutGirlStuff101 who talks about pantiliners and pads and tampons and how to get rid of odor and all sorts of stuff. She even talks about her first period.
--Instead of seeing your period as a red nightmare, see it as an adventure...a red one!! You're a woman! You'll have some laughs! and on beinggirl.com, Rachel's Chat, Rachel says that once you get to know your flow, you'll learn to even like your period! I know I'm excited and ready for mine! (Until I get it, then I'll want to give it back...)

depending on how long your breasts have been growing (usually it's 2 years after they have been growing you get your period), I'd say you're pretty close to getting it! Shouldn't be long now...if you haven't already, get some pantiliners and pads!

well, pretty much anytime from this month, untill maybe December, but I'm sure it will be within the next couple of months, so make sure you always have pads with you.

Ayacheer: I think you sound really close. It could happen any time from right now to I'd say about...maybe November or December. I'd keep a pad or two handy once you start school, just in case! Katie: I looked up the "Menstrual Cycle Animation" and it was funny and cute. Thanks! ^_^

I have not started my period yet, but I would say that you sound very close, make sure to wear a pantyliner every day and have an "Emergency kit" at hand, including hand sanitizer, pads, pantyliner, Tampons (Depending if you feel conferrable using them) If you don't already have this stuff then I would ask 1 of your parents to get it for you, you can always right them a note...I wrote my mom a note and soon we are going to get some stuff...
Good Luck! Hope I helped - Rainbowpiggy
