- sadness and/or hopelessness - irritability, anger, or hostility - tearfulness or frequent crying - withdrawal from friends and family - loss of interest in activities - changes in eating and sleeping habits - restlessness and agitation - feelings of worthlessness and guilt - lack of enthusiasm and motivation - fatigue or lack of energy - Difficulty concentrating * thoughts of death or suicide * thoughts of hurting yourself and/or others

Also, depression can lead to harmful things such as eating disorders, insomnia, cutting, drug abuse, or isolation. People with depression need to learn to cope with life using methods like:
Deep breathing Yoga Joining a club or sport Talking to a friend/counsler Remember, you are worthwhile! Also, if you see a friend with any of the signs candycat51 listed, you should find help for them right away. They need it!
