well, at our school you aren't supposed to wear anything but skin colored make up, and i have sensitive skin, so sometimes it's hard to find a brand that works for me.

Lilli The brand Almay is hypo-allergentic and works great too! If u have sensitive skin then u should probably use that brand. I've tried it and the eyeshadow has a really silky texture so it's comfortabe to wear. Hope this helps!! Ask me if u have any more questions!! -Candycat51

I really want to wear makeup, well, specifically just eyeliner and occasionally mascara. But my mom won't let me! How can I convince her to allow me to wear eye makeup?

Mika tell ur mom that u won't wear an inapproprite amount of makeup and just want to wear enough to enhance your features. Tell her that u will let her help u pick out the colors and other things (if u want to). But if she still sayes no let it go for a little while and try again later. Whatever u say dont say "everyone wears it!" or "it's not fair, all my friends moms let them wear it!" or anything like that, that will just make her mad and garentee a no. Hope this helps!! Ask me if u have any more questions!! -Candycat51

my mom bought me my first make-up in 7th grade for a high school football game. it was this major game called the Blackout Game, and you were you supposed to wear all black to make our side of the stadium tottally black.. because our school colors are orange and black. so when my mom was at the store and she asked me if i needed anything, i asked her to get my eyeliner, mascara and gray or black eyeshadow and when she got home she showed to put it all on.. that was the last time i wore black eyeshadow. it looks weird on me... it just contrasts because i have blonde hair and light green eyes, so it looked fairly odd. especially with the black shoes, black pants, and black shirt..lol

I have a condition that your supposed to grow out of called stork bites it can be found in many places but mine is on my eyelids I want to cover them up but my school is more ghetto than you'd think so I don't want blue eye shadow up to my hair,(that was one girls tip before).

julietaw,
some girls at my school wear their make up like that (they get in trouble cause it's against dress code!!), and i can definitely see why you don't want to wear make up like that!!!! It's SO unatractive. but if you can maybe find an eyeshadow that is your skin color, you could use that, and then for whatever you can't cover up with the eyeshadow use some cover up!!
P.S. my school's ghetto too!!! we are one of the poorest schools in Texas, but we are one of the most recognized academically and athletically!

I wish I could wear just that, my mom won't let me wear anything beyond lip gloss. :/ I'm going into 7th grade, and I know some girls that have been wearing it for years, that are in my grade, so hopefully I'll be able to when I start school again. The last few times I've asked my mom, she's said something like, "Maybe," "I'll think about it," "We can talk about it later," and things like that. Not very promising, but better than a flat out no! (:
