in Texas the standardized test is T.A.K.S. (Texas Assesment of Knowledge and Skills)

I have the OAAs (Ohio Acheivment Assessment), they used to be the OATs(Ohio Acheivment Test), but for some reason they changed it. xD

yeah... when my brother was in school it was the TOSS test, now it's the TAKS test, and in my junior year of high school, they're changing it again. i don't know what to though.
but here are some ways i study for the TAKS tests....
-use index cards to write down vocabulary words, possible questions, or other important info and write the definition or answer on the other side and study with friends or have a parent or sibling quiz you -go to bed so that you are DEFINITELY getting at least 8 hours of sleep (being well rested helps you stay focused) -eat breakfast (eggs are your best choice for the days you are taking an important exam.) -stay calm and don't freak when you get a question and don't know the answer. if it's a multiple choice question, use the process of elimination. something we have been tought to do since 3rd grade. all you have to do is really look at the answer choices. most of the time, 2 of them will be almost identical, just worded differently, cross those choices out, and then there will be one totally wrong answer, leaving you with just the correct answer!!

yeah. I've been in GT (gifted and talented) since 2nd grade, and i'm in all AP(advanced placement) or Honors classes.
