hey everybody iam starting this thread because i think its important for us girls to know how to protect us from getting pregent and form getting stds.
so if anybody knows anything about birth control or condoms just post it here for others to read and comment

well, condoms and birth controls won't prevent STDs, but they can HELP prevent pregnancy. and i definitely beleive that people should be taking purity and abstinence promises, but that is only my opinion, and i'm not going to force that descion on anyone. and taking that promise ensures that you won't get pregnant untill you are married, and you can't get an STD unless your husband has one.

STD stands for sexually transmitted disease, like some hepatitises and AIDS (Well actually HIV) are STDs.
I'm really not religious, so I'm not wearing a purity ring, I've decided that if I'm going to have sex before I'm married, I will, if not, I won't. I'm deifinitely going to have both birth control AND safer sex.
But having a purity ring is a great idea anyway. :3

Pretty much, since it is promising to God, but also it's just kind of part of yourself...how you feel about sex and what you feel is right or wrong.

even condoms and birth control pills can have flaws. Sex is something that is meant to be shared between two people who love each other through everything--like a husband and wife.

that's exactly what i beleive. you should only share something like that with someone who you truely care about and love, and they reciprocate those feelings to you.

I started wearing my purity ring around nov of 2009 and I was 15 and a half. But really its up to and your family. I have heard that some families give them to the kids but it just depends on the family. I choose to wear the purity ring and got it my self. A lot of my friends were like why did you choose to wear it and stay pure but it's a personal choice to wear one.
and it's the cheapest way of birth control
